Tonia Lindow Bennett, age 55, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Tonia was a strong willed, loving, and compassionate woman who touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. She was known for her fierce determination, generous heart, quick wit, and unwavering love for her family and friends. Tonia never hesitated to help someone in need and had a special love for animals. She lived life with courage, strength, and a spirit that could not be broken.
She is survived by her husband, Everette Waits Jr.; her father, Roy Musgrove; her stepmother, Susan Musgrove; her children, Jessica Skinner, Taylor Bennett, and Lillie Waits; her stepchildren, Joshua Waits, Jacob Waits, and Joseph Waits; her siblings, Tammie Justesen, Roy Musgrove, Tera Gallinari, Rachel O’Brien, and Rebecca Evans; and her beloved grandchildren, Sophie Skinner, Liam Bennett, Ronan Hughes, August Peña, and six additional grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Billie Jean Musgrove.
Tonia’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. Her strength, kindness, and unconditional love will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Though our hearts are broken by her loss, we find comfort in knowing she is now at peace. Her memory will remain a blessing, and her love will continue to guide us every day.
“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles.”
— Isaiah 40:31
