Mrs. Vida Powell was born on November 15, 1938 in Pascagoula, MS to the late Irma James and J.C. Hyde. At an early age she accepted Christ. Vida was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother that will be greatly missed. Mrs.
Vida was preceded in death by both her mother and father, Irma James and J.C. Hyde; her son, Joseph E. Anderson and Timothy Anderson, daughter, Irma Lee, Charlotte Anderson and Lakeisha Henderson; brothers, Herbert, Joseph, and Donald James; and sister, Mamie James.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories to her loving and devoted children, Willie (Harriett) Anderson, Rodney (Sarah) Lett of Moss Point, MS; James (Debra) Shaffer of Dallas, Texas, Irene (Alex) Graham, Thelma Reece of Moss Point, MS; Rose (Ganiy) Oqunmona of Atlanta, GA; three devoted grandchildren Lasonja (Oludare) Kolawole, Orlando Bradford, and Angela Shaffer; a devoted great-grandchild, Jasmine Anderson; brothers, W. T. (Betty) James and Eric James both of Moss Point, MS; sisters Evelyn Pitts of Moss Point, MS; Trina (Raymond) Wade of Durant, MS, Carol M. Hyde, and Suzanna E. Crutison of Sacramento, CA; along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends that will miss her dearly.
