Wayne A. Stout, a longtime resident of Moss Point, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on August 1, 1940, Wayne lived a full and storied life characterized by his devotion to his large and loving family.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Hilda Stout. Wayne’s legacy continues through his children from his first marriage to Susan Cook: Sean (Judy) Stout, Scott (Beth) Stout, Glenn (Sabrina) Stout, and Heather Stout. His memory will also be cherished by his extended family, including Roxanne (Allen) Evans, Kimberly Wells, and Gorden Truett.
Wayne was a proud grandfather to 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy. He also leaves behind two sisters, Faye (Bart) Pedersen and Jan (Gar) Wolfe. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Helen Stout, and his two grandsons, Levi Stout and Adrian Truett.
The family wishes to extend a special and heartfelt thank you to the Gentiva Hospice team for the exceptional kindness and care provided to Wayne during his final days.
In accordance with Wayne's wishes, a formal service to celebrate his life will be held at a later date.
