William Dunlap Obituary

William Leonard Dunlap passed away peacefully on March 16th, 2023. William was born in Baton Rouge, LA to George and Genevieve Dunlap (O'Neal)

He moved to south Mississippi with his mother and siblings as a child. William was a free spirit who liked to live life on his own terms. He loved American muscle cars in his youth, (almost as much as he crashed them), but as he got older that love moved to all things Harley Davidson. In 1978 he married Teresa Johnson and they had 4 children together. He loved fishing and being out on the water. He passed that love on to his children and grandchildren who will treasure the memories forever. William was a mechanic at Big 10 tires for many years before becoming a ship fitter at VT Halter Marine. In his later years William reconnected with his family and gave his life to the lord. He developed a lasting relationship with each of his children in their adult lives, it meant everything to him and them.

William is predeceased by both his parents, George Dunlap and Genevieve O'Neal, his younger brother Wayford O'Neal. His wife Teresa E. Dunlap, and his daughter Selena D. Dunlap.

William is survived by his daughters, Tabitha Bosley (Samuel), Katie Dunlap (Bryan Walrod), his son, William Travis Dunlap (Leah) his grandchildren: Justin Bosley, Kassy Walker (Louis), Karah Brown, Zack Bosley (Leora), Trey Bosley, Kiralee Walrod, Tristan Dunlap, Victoria Dunlap, and Eden Dunlap. Great grandchildren Jaiden Brown, Calliope Brown, Holden Walker, Marceline Walker, and Maisie Bosley. His sister Juanita Crimm (Guy), and his brother Tony Dunlap (Jackie), and many more Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and nephews.

In keeping with his wishes there will be a small private service for immediate family to honor him and his daughter Selena.
