Willmer Dean Gibbs 89 passed away on December 12, 2024, at Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula MS. Wilma as she preferred to be called, and "GiGi" to her great-grandkids, was born in Nashville, TN on February 19, 1935. She lived in New Orleans for over 20 years as a devoted homemaker. Returning to Mississippi in the early 90's she worked a few odd jobs and then at the Beau Rivage until she retired. Although she wasn't a member of any local churches, she firmly believed in God. She loved animals, reading, crocheting, baking, old-school rock and country music, and watching classic movies. In keeping with her wishes no formal memorial service will be held. Instead, her family encourages those who would like to cherish a fond memory shared. She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl Benton Gibbs, and Laura Belle Gibbs; three brothers, Henry Clay Gibbs, J.D. Gibbs, and William Archie Gibbs; two sisters Eliza Francis Gibbs and Sharon Ann Hamby. An infant son Robin Dale Osborn and a niece Shelia Ann Bernard. She is survived by two daughters Brenda Clark and Patricia Quintel. Two granddaughters Shannon Clark, and Amber Quintel: and six great-grandchildren Brandon Solo, Hendrix Quintel, Zinaleia Quintel, O'lazerae Solo, Elyden Solo, and Lemiel Solo; and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
